This publication is a result from the GOMIAM project, an ambitious research project building on the comparison of small-scale gold mining in five different Amazon countries: Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Peru and Suriname. The project works on the development of an integrated social, political and technical approach of small-scale gold mining, with the aim to diminish social and environmental conflicts in the sector.
