The Landscape of Sexual Exploitation of Children in South Africa is the result of a research collaboration led by ECPAT International to describe the context for sexual exploitation of children in South Africa. The project was a collaboration with the Youth Research Unit (YRU) of the Bureau of Market Research (BMR), (Pty) Ltd at the University of South Africa and University of Western Cape and was guided by an advisory committee of further experts from government, law enforcement and civil society. The final report presents results from the literature review; analysis of legislation; interviews and focus group discussions with law enforcement and welfare professionals in Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal provinces.
