2022 Tech Against Trafficking Accelerator Showcase

Since 2019, Tech Against Trafficking has helped advance and scale the work of anti-trafficking organizations with promising technology solutions through its flagship Accelerator Program.

To celebrate the close of our second Accelerator, we are hosting a 2-hour virtual event where we will showcase the outputs of the Accelerator and discuss how the learnings and tools can be used by the broader anti-trafficking field.

The event will include presentations by our two TAT Accelerator participants: The Lantern Project and Unseen UK.

The Lantern Project runs an online platform called Freedom Signal, which enables direct service organizations to send targeted, text-based outreach to  individuals who are being advertised for sexual services online.  Throughout the Accelerator, the Lantern Project worked with TAT members and volunteers to develop a go-to-market strategy for Freedom Signal and improve their victim identification process.

Unseen UK runs the Modern Slavery Helpline and Resource Centre which provides victims, the  public, statutory agencies, and businesses with access to information and support on a 24/7 basis. With the support of TAT members and volunteers, Unseen can now generate helpful insights from the human trafficking data that they gather through the helpline. The The Accelerator program has also supported Unseen to develop a marketing strategy for the Business Portal, which helps businesses identify cases of human trafficking within their supply chains, and to improve the case matching process.

The event will include a panel discussion where Accelerator participants, TAT member companies and volunteers will discuss how the learnings and outputs of the Accelerator program can be applied in the broader anti-trafficking field, and what gaps remain in the implementation of tech solutions to fight human trafficking.

Please register in advance for the event to receive a calendar hold and Zoom link.
